قامت منظمة اشراقات للتنمية وبدعم من جمعية الفردوس العراقية بالشراكة مع مؤسسة المراة العراقية الماهرة و في إطار مشروع خدمات الدعم الميداني للشرق الأوسط، الذي تنفذه شركة كووتر انترناشونال ويموله قسم الشؤون الدولية الكندية، بزيارة منطقة عين صيد حيث شهدت هذه المنطقة نزوح عدد من العوائل بسبب الجفاف , فيما زار فريق المنظمة نهر الصليبيات الذي يبعد عن مركز قضاء الخضر بمسافة (21 كم ) ولاحظ الفريق جفاف النهر بسبب التغيرات المناخية و الذي يعد من أسباب هجرة العوائل من هذه المنطقة والمناطق المجاورة .
Ashrakat Development Organization, with the support of Al-Firdaws Iraqi Association, in partnership with the Iraqi Skilled Women Foundation, and within the framework of the Middle East Field Support Services Project, implemented by Cowater International and funded by the Canadian Department of International Affairs, visited the Eid Sayd area, where a number of families were displaced due to drought. Meanwhile, the organization’s team visited the Salibiyat River, which is 21 km away from the center of Al-Khidr District. The team noted the drying up of the river due to climate change, which is one of the reasons for the migration of families from this area and neighboring areas.
