ضمن أنشطة مشروع الائتلاف البيئي الجنوبي والمنفذ من قبل جمعية الفردوس العراقية وبالتعاون مع منظمة اشراقات للتنمية ومؤسسة المرأة العراقية الماهرة , قامت منظمة اشراقات للتنمية بزيارة قائمقامية قضاء الخضر، بتاريخ 11 تموز يوليو 2024 حيث التقى فريق المنظمة بالسيد ( صالح معنيد جابر) مدير إدارة القائمقامية وكان الهدف من اللقاء هو التعرف على الخطط الحكومية للحد من مشكلة الجفاف التي يعاني منها القضاء , وكيف يمكن للمنظمات غير الحكومية ان تساهم في وضع سياسات التخفيف من التغيرات المناخية والنزوح من مناطق القضاء , كذلك تمت مناقشة المناطق الأكثر تعرضا وهشاشة للتغيرات البيئية وأزمة الجفاف مثل منطقة عيد صيد التي تبعد عن مركز قضاء الخضر بـ (16 كم ) ومشكلة جفاف نهر الصليبيات الذي يبعد عن مركز قضاء الخضر بمسافة (21 كم ) وعن مركز محافظة المثنى (52 كم ) .
Within the activities of the Southern Environmental Coalition project implemented by the Iraqi Al-Firdaws Association in cooperation with the Ishraqat Organization for Development and the Iraqi Skilled Women Foundation, the Ishraqat Organization for Development visited the Al-Khidr District Governorate, where the organization's team met with Mr. (Saleh Mo'need Jaber), Director of the Governorate Administration. The aim of the meeting was to learn about the government's plans to reduce the drought problem that the district suffers from, and how non-governmental organizations can contribute to developing policies to mitigate climate change and displacement from the district's areas. The areas most exposed and vulnerable to environmental changes and the drought crisis were also discussed, such as the Eid Sayd area, which is (16 km) away from the center of Al-Khidr District, and the problem of the drying up of the Al-Sulaibiyat River, which is (21 km) away from the center of Al-Khidr District and (52 km) away from the center of Al-Muthanna Governorate.
