بدعوة من مركز حقوق المرأة، شاركت منظمة اشراقات للتنمية في ورشة حوارية متميزة حول "منتدى الوساطة لحل النزاعات"، والممولة من صندوق المرأة للأمن والسلام (WPHF) وهيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة (UN Women). الورشة تأتي ضمن مشروع يهدف إلى تعزيز دور المرأة في درء النزاعات والاستجابة لها في مناطق جنوب العراق.
تخللت الورشة نقاشات حيوية حول سبل تعزيز الحوار والتواصل الفعال في المجتمع، بحضور ممثلات عن أقسام ووحدات شؤون المرأة في محافظة المثنى، بالإضافة إلى عدد من القائدات والفاعلات في المجتمع.
تأتي هذه المبادرة في إطار الجهود الرامية إلى تمكين المرأة وتعزيز دورها الريادي في بناء مجتمع متماسك وعادل، حيث تعتبر الوساطة المجتمعية أداة فعالة لتحقيق التغيير الإيجابي والاستقرار.
At the invitation of the Center for Women’s Rights, our organization participated in a distinguished dialogue workshop on the “Mediation Forum for Conflict Resolution”, funded by the Women’s Peace and Security Fund (WPHF) and UN Women. The workshop comes as part of a project aimed at enhancing the role of women in preventing and responding to conflicts in southern Iraq.
The workshop, which was held on May 31, 2024, aimed to create a generation of women mediators in resolving community conflicts. The participants were introduced to the concept of community mediation and its objectives. They were also trained on mediator skills and the importance of their role in promoting community peace and achieving justice.
The workshop included lively discussions on ways to enhance dialogue and effective communication in society, in the presence of representatives of women’s affairs departments and units in Muthanna Governorate, in addition to a number of female leaders and actors in society.
This initiative comes within the framework of efforts aimed at empowering women and enhancing their leadership role in building a cohesive and just society, as community mediation is considered an effective tool for achieving positive change and stability.
