شاركت منظمتنا في الجلسة الخاصة بمشروع المشاورة الوطنية للمرأة حول الوقاية من التطرف العنيف , حيث اقامت جمعية الفردوس العراقية بالتعاون مع مؤسسة المرأة العراقية الماهرة , وبتمويل من وكالة الأمم المتحدة للهجرة , ودعم منظمة تمكين المرأة , حضرها عدد من الشخصيات النسوية الاكاديمية والشرطة المجتمعية وممثلات عن اقسام تمكين المرأة في الحكومة وممثلات عن منظمات المجتمع المدني في محافظة المثنى .
Our organization participated in the special session of the National Consultation Project for Women on the Prevention of Violent Extremism, which was held by the Iraqi Al-Firdaws Association in cooperation with the Skilled Iraqi Women Foundation, and with funding from the United Nations Migration Agency, and the support of the Women’s Empowerment Organization. It was attended by a number of academic feminist figures, community police, and representatives of departments. Empowering women in government and representatives of civil society organizations in Muthanna Governorate.
The session addressed a number of topics, the most important of which are: the concept of violent extremism, the impact of violent extremism on society, the role of women in combating extremism and how this role can be strengthened, how awareness can be enhanced among women about the potential threats of violent extremism and how to prevent it, the special challenges in confronting violent extremism.
