في ناحية السويرفي محافظة المثنى , قامت منظمة اشراقات للتنمية ( IDO) وبتمويل من السفارة الكندية في العراق الصندوق الكندي للمبادرات المحلية ( FCIL/CFLI ) , وبالتعاون مع مديرية بيئة محافظة المثنى , بتنفيذ ورشتها التدريبية السادسة بعنوان (الحد من مخاطر الكوارث والتأهب لحالات الطوارئ) ضمن مشروع ("المرونة المناخية في العراق: تعزيز استراتيجيات التكيف والتخفيف من آثار تغير المناخ") للنساء من اسر المزارعين بتاريخ 27 كانون الأول ديسمبر2023 , بحضور( 25 امرأة ) وحضور الفريق النسوي للمنظمة وبأدارة المدربة ( المهندسة رندة محمد ) من مديرية بيئة محافظة المثنى .
طرحت المدربة في ورشتها معرفة الكوارث المناخية التي تحدث نتيجة لتغير المناخ وتأثيراته على البيئة والإنسان. والتأثيرات الصحية لهذه التغيرات التي تؤدي إلى زيادة في انتشار الأمراض المنقولة بواسطة الحشرات والأمراض المتعلقة بالحرارة، وتلوث الهواء، مما يشكل تهديدًا لصحة السكان.
فيما ناقشت الحاضرات تقييم الضرر المحتمل عن حدوث المخاطر المناخية وتأثيرها على البيئة والمجتمع والاقتصاد. يتضمن ذلك تحديد تكلفة الخسائر المحتملة وتأثيرها على الاستدامة البيئية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية.
In Al-Suwayri district in Muthanna Governorate, the Ishraqat Development Organization (IDO), with funding from the Canadian Embassy in Iraq, the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (FCIL/CFLI), and in cooperation with the Muthanna Governorate Environment Directorate, implemented its sixth training workshop entitled (Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Preparedness) Within the project (“Climate Resilience in Iraq: Strengthening Adaptation Strategies and Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change”) for women from farmer families on December 27, 2023, in the presence of (25 women) and the organization’s women’s team, and managed by the trainer (Engineer Randa Muhammad) from the Muthanna Governorate Environment Directorate. .
In her workshop, the trainer presented knowledge of climate disasters that occur as a result of climate change and its effects on the environment and humans. The health impacts of these changes lead to an increase in the spread of insect-borne diseases, heat-related diseases, and air pollution, which poses a threat to the health of the population.
While the attendees discussed assessing the potential damage caused by climate risks and their impact on the environment, society and economy. This includes determining the cost of potential losses and their impact on environmental, economic and social sustainability.
