نفذت منظمة اشراقات للتنمية ( IDO) في قضاء الخضر منطقة العين , وبتمويل من السفارة الكندية في العراق الصندوق الكندي للمبادرات المحلية ( FCIL/CFLI ) , وبالتعاون مع مديرية زراعة محافظة المثنى , بتنفيذ ورشتها التدريبية السابعة بعنوان (الحد من مخاطر الكوارث والتأهب لحالات الطوارئ) ضمن مشروع ("المرونة المناخية في العراق: تعزيز استراتيجيات التكيف والتخفيف من آثار تغير المناخ") للنساء من اسر المزارعين بتاريخ 31 كانون الأول ديسمبر2023 , بحضور( 25 امرأة ) وحضور الفريق النسوي للمنظمة وبأدارة المدربة ( المهندسة الزراعية بدرية شلاكة كامل ) من مديرية زراعة محافظة المثنى .
تناولت الورشة عدد من المواضيع حول افضل الممارسات و الحلول التي من الممكن تنفيذها لمواجهة المخاطر المتعلقة بالمناخ, حيث تحتاج جهود متعددة الجوانب للحد من المخاطر الناجمة عن الكوارث المناخية ولتعزيز الاستعداد والتكيف معها عن طريق
1- تطوير نظم فعالة لرصد وتنبؤ الكوارث المناخية، مثل الفيضانات والجفاف والعواصف القوية. يمكن أن تساعد تقنيات الاستشعار عن بُعد ونظم المعلومات الجغرافية على توفير بيانات دقيقة وفورية لمساعدة في اتخاذ قرارات استراتيجية وفعالة.
2-حماية وإعادة تأهيل النظم البيئية المهمة مثل الغابات والأراضي الزراعية والمستنقعات والمناطق الساحلية. يساعد تعزيز التنوع البيولوجي على تحسين مرونة النظم الإيكولوجية وتقليل تأثير الكوارث المناخية .و تعزيز الممارسات الزراعية المستدامة التي تعزز الإنتاجية وتحسن مرونة القطاع الزراعي في مواجهة التغيرات المناخية. يشمل ذلك استخدام تقنيات الري الفعالة والزراعة المحافظة على التربة والتنوع الزراعي.
3-تعزيز التوعية بين الجمهور وتعزيز المعرفة والتعليم حول الكوارث المناخية وطرق التكيف معها. يتضمن ذلك توفير المعلومات والتدريبات للمجتمعات المحلية والمزارعين والسكان المعرضين للمخاطر.
4- تعاون وشراكة بين الحكومات المحلية والوطنية والمنظمات الدولية والمجتمع المدني والقطاع الخاص. يمكن أن تسهم الشراكات في تعزيز القدرات وتنفيذ إجراءات فعالة للتكيف مع الكوارث المناخية.
The Ishraqat Development Organization (IDO) in Al-Khader district, Al-Ain region, with funding from the Canadian Embassy in Iraq, the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (FCIL/CFLI), and in cooperation with the Muthanna Governorate Agriculture Directorate, implemented its seventh training workshop entitled (Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Preparedness) Within the project (“Climate Resilience in Iraq: Strengthening Adaptation Strategies and Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change”) for women from farmer families on December 31, 2023, in the presence of (25 women) and the organization’s women’s team and managed by the trainer (agricultural engineer Badriya Shalaka Kamel) from the Agriculture Directorate Al-Muthanna Governorate.
The trainer pointed to the best practices and solutions that can be implemented to confront climate-related risks, as multifaceted efforts are needed to reduce the risks resulting from climate disasters and to enhance preparedness and adaptation to them through
1- Develop effective systems to monitor and predict climate disasters, such as floods, droughts, and strong storms. Remote sensing and GIS technologies can help provide accurate and real-time data to help make strategic and effective decisions.
2-Protecting and rehabilitating important ecosystems such as forests, agricultural lands, swamps, and coastal areas. Enhancing biodiversity helps improve the resilience of ecosystems and reduce the impact of climate disasters. Promoting sustainable agricultural practices that enhance productivity and improve the resilience of the agricultural sector in the face of climate change. This includes the use of efficient irrigation techniques, conservation agriculture and agricultural diversification.
3-Enhancing awareness among the public and enhancing knowledge and education about climate disasters and ways to adapt to them. This includes providing information and training to local communities, farmers and vulnerable populations.
4- Cooperation and partnership between local and national governments, international organizations, civil society and the private sector. Partnerships can contribute to strengthening capacities and implementing effective actions to adapt to climate disasters.
